Supercuts London Reviews

upsetting :( - i live in IOM and for my birthday i went to Supercuts to have my hair done in St. Johns shopping centre. When i went in it was rather dusty and there was only one member off staff working. After 20 minutes a women with extreamly damaged hair came in, in a really bad mood. She was handling my hair badly and i only wanted a little trim and a really thick side fringe. She was trying to purswade me to get highlights and a fringe like hers but i clearly said 'no thankyou'. when she was washing my hair she kept stopping to talk to the other member of staff as well as when she was cutting my hair. She cut it really bad and she gave me a thin side/full fringe.I ran out crying when i was finished and my sister paid £30 for it while i tried to ring my mum. i would not recommend this hair salon, i now i have to more to get it sorted.

Don't bother with Supercuts - I went to Supercuts in London at Liverpool Street station and only asked for a trim. Having moved home, to an area where the local hairdressers specialise in Afro hair, Supercuts seemed the nearest convenient option, for European hair. Plus, it's always a bonus not to need an appointment and the prices are reasonable. I had been advised in the past, by a hairdresser, not to use Supercuts; she said they tend to take on overseas staff who do not have UK equivalent hairdressing qualifications. I didn't take any notice, presuming that the Liverpool Street salon can't be that bad, as they must deal with a lot of city workers, right? WRONG!!!!! The girl that saw me was in a very bad mood. She was very rough when handling my head. I thought I had explained clearly that I just wanted a small trim, all over, to tidy my hair up. It had only been about 6 weeks since my last trim, so it didn't need much doing to it. For some reason she has cut off huge amounts of hair and left it in a really scruffy cut. It looked neater before I went in. It now looks like its full of split ends, as if I haven't had it cut for 6 months. I had layers at the back, which she has cut so short that they are now level with my fringe and ears, with the ends of the layers sticking out. My hair is quite thin anyway, but now the longer parts at the bottom are so thin, you can see my ears. To top it off, I had a thin side fringe, which (again, for some unbeknown reason) she has restyled into a thick (Friar Tuck/pudding basin) fringe. It looks like a really bad mullet (which I didn't even ask for... I only wanted a trim!!!). WHY has she done this? It really seemed as if she was trying to deliberately give me the worst haircut possible. The worst thing is, I start a new job in 2 weeks and she has left me looking like someone off the street. After just wanting to cry all I feel now is anger. This haidresser was pure evil! Whatever you do, don't wast £29 at supercuts (wash, cut, dry)... I'm now going to have to pay another £50-£60 at a decent salon in the area, just to ask them to try to do something to neaten up my hair, until it grows a bit. Either that or have extensions put in, to try to make my hair look normal again. Will be trying ESHK up the road in Hoxton (apparently award winners, cost £50-£60). Very annoyed at having to pay twice for a trim (especially during this credit crunch). Supercuts, never again.

Unhappy - Make sure you really insist on what you want. I told the lady who cut my hair that I only wanted 2 inches cut off the ends and she insisted on removing about 5. Now I'm utterly depressed and half contemplating wearing a hat for the next couple of months:( :( it's not as if I had any confidence anyway. Maybe this salon is most appropriate for just a trim?
