Nice and friendly - Ugh - so I slipped and twisted my ankle over the weekend and it absolutley killed - I stayed in bed for about 24 hours and then managed to get myself to A&E.
Initially I was a bit perturbed because I was asked to hop (I couldn't touch my foot on the floor) from the reception to the doctor to the xray and then back to the doctor and then some more doctors - I thought the least someone could dowas give me some crutches or a wheelchair. Actually someone asked me later on if I wanted a wheelchair but by then I was used to hopping around.
Anyway they xrayed me and it turns out I fractured my leg - ugh sucks. They plastered my up and gave me some crutches and sent me on my way with an appointment to return back a week later.
I have to say that I hate hospitals - they're full of people bleeding, coughing and dying. I don't need to be reminded about the fragility of the human body that much!
That said everyone I saw at the hospital was very friendly and helpful - the nurse that did my xray was learning and so was the one that made my plaster cast and it made me feel like I was helping to train the future doctors which was cool.
I wouldn't recommend coming here all the time, you only realy need to come here when you're broken but I have to say it was a pretty good experience all round.
