Liverpool Street Railway Station London Reviews

End of the line - I don't have to come here everyday. Thank goodness. It had a facelift a few years ago, so it is reasonably bright and clean. There are quite a lot of shops to visit if you have a bit of a wait before you get your train. If you don't want to shop then you have to stand. There aren't many seats. (You can always try to locate where they filmed the restaurant scene in the first Mission Impossible film!)
Another frustration is the time it can take to get off a busy train. You have to walk almost the length of the train, and as the platforms are narrow it is difficult to get past slower passengers. Only to arrive at the end and find that half the turnstiles are set up for Oyster cards, so you then have to queue some more. How many people coming in on one of the expresses will be putting their journey on an Oyster card I wonder? From what I have seen. Not a lot. The other problem with these terminus stations is that you have to walk to an end, at least at Waterloo there are subways that can take some of the strain.
And if you need to get the tube for your onward journey at a busy time and laden with cases? That's another story. By the time it reaches Liverpool Street the central line tube is usually packed. Getting yourself and luggage into the carriage is a real challenge.
Other positive thing is that the tannoy is loud and clear. So you can hear all about your delay clearly.
Also their are usually lots of staff around to help.
OK for occasional journeys but soon loses it's appeal for frequent use. How much do I have to pay for this experience? Much too much.
