Roll with it... - Great little Vietnamese in Camberwell.
This place is on the way home for me, and it’s often hard to resist the lure of some Vietnamese fresh rolls and steamed dumplings after a long day at work.... I might need to start changing my route, or going up a dress size will be inevitable...
We've come mainly for dinner, and the place always has a great buzz about it - whether you come mid week or at the weekend. In the summer you can sit outside on the terrace and watch the world go by, and when the colder seasons start, the inside is cosy, atmospheric and candlelit.
We’ve actually never got past the starters on the menu – they’re so good. We usually order a vast selection and have a feast.
My only bug would be that the wine list is very basic, but then this isn’t a fancy restaurant, so I can’t complain. Prices are good, and we normally struggle to spend more than £25 a head with the table groaning under the weight of plates of food.
The staff also make the place - always extremely friendly and welcoming, and happy to recommend new or special dishes from the menu.
This is a great little local, well worth a visit if you are in the area.
