Not good... at all - Right opposite the cinema in Hammersmith, The Wishing Well should be on to a good thing. Well, they are because it's a popular place judging by the number of people in there but from our experience goodness knows why.

It all started quite well. It's a cosy place, that much is true, and the owner seemed friendly and attentive. Then the food arrived.

We had ordered parmigano di melanzano (baked aubergine, parmisan and mozarella) and a baked fusilli dish with garlic bread on the side. OK then, the aubergine was undercooked, as in hard, but strangely enough it didn't look undercooked. It was just tough, and the tomato sauce it's baked in wasn't pre-simmered, or sufficiently so, as there were puddles of tomato water around the dish. And as for the fusilli.... totally overcooked. Soft, pappy, broke apart in the mouth, bad. Well, at least the bread was good. 01-06-08
