The Design Museum is in an old 1950's warehouse, with a Bauhas-like conversion and decor. Its exhibits include an unpretentious display of mass-produced items from industrial design products down to Tupperware. They also hold exhibitions on particular events, movements and designers, and have a shop that sells many items. Admission fees apply and concessions are also available.

Hussein Chalayan Exhibition - Really good exhibition celebrating the work of innovative designer Hussein Chalayan. Demonstrates how Chalayan combines fashion and science/technology with ease and imagination. many garments modelled on mannequins along with videos of his most significant catwalk shows. Slightly illogical layout but with the £5 entry (with a student card) u get a really informative booklet. Definitely worth a trip. Exhibition on til May.
