Absolutely terrible! - We went for Sunday Roast lunch and it was terrible, the beef was like boot leather, there were hardly any potatoes and the ‘gravy’ was tomato sauce! When we complained the manager said we should have said something sooner and even though we had left all the beef, which really was inedible they still refused to take anything off the bill. Terrible customer service, although the service from our waitress was satisfactory.
DO NOT EAT HERE! Instead it will annoy you less to simply flush £25 down the toilet.

Table service & friendly anyone? - I’ll offer a little more balanced perspective. Let’s start with the drinks – ok our the first round took a bit of time, but that’s because they were pretty exotic drinks like Singapore Sling, Cosmopolitan, Daiquiri, etc. and they were made with extraordinary care, including an intricate garnish of lime peel woven through the orange piece and straws. They all looked amazing and tasted great and I was more than happy to wait a few minutes longer. Oh and they were 2 for 1 for happy hour which made me twice has happy.
Food wise I had 2 small plates: 1 was meatballs in a red sauce, about 6 small ones for £4.50; 2nd one was grilled halloumi with pita, 4 – 5 pieces and only £3.50. The meatballs weren’t spectacular, but they were tasty, and the halloumi was great, but in fairness all they had to do was grill it. My friend had the burger and it was as big as my head and only like £6.50. And I know all the food came quickly because we were off to see a Jazz show at Vortex nearby.
Best of all about this place is they had table service. How many pubs can you just sit down and have someone take your drinks order? It was great. I guess if you have to have a pint the second you walk in the door you can walk to the bar and order like everywhere else, but I’m happy to sit down and relax while someone else makes life a little better for me. Then to get served by friendly folks with a smile is a huge bonus you don’t get much in London.
Finally it’s a pretty cool place inside, really cosy with a genuine relaxed feel, plenty of funky furniture, not too crowded…just GO!

Who's thirsty or hungry anyway...? - Hmmm where do I begin? Oh I know - how about: "don't go there!"
I have given this pub a rating of 1 but in my opnion they simply don't deserve it. Call me generous.
The service (or lack thereof) last night was absolutely terrible at best. Granted the staff were friendly, but they simply had no urgency to serve us (group of 4). Given that the pub had a total of about 15 people there last I'm baffled as to why it took so long to get your order, AND how they even make money.
They have 2 for 1 cocktails between 4pm and 9pm. Sounds good, right? Well it would be great if you actually got your cocktail before closing time! It took roughly 15 minutes for them to make 3 cosmopolitans.
I also ordered the falafel from the mains section of the menu and it was served in one of the bowls used for the tapas items (sides menu section). The 2 x felafel balls (what the!?!?!) came with a mixed salad, or should I say 2 iceberg lettuce leaves and a strip from a red pepper. Thanks to The Fox for charging twice the price for this "main" and serving a tapas item - I really wasn't hungry at 8pm anyway....! Perhaps this "felafel deception" is their money earner as serving drinks certainly isn't.
The felafel ration was served without humous, because that makes sense, so I asked for some on a side plate. This arrived 10 minutes later, and, just in time to watch the felafel transform from hypothermia to a frozen state. Perhaps they ran out of spoons to scoop it out of the humous tub and throw it on a plate?
Anyway, today is a new day and I'm on the lookout for a different pub.
Did I mention my recommendation not to go there?
