It's a Wetherspoons - The review title should give you an idea of what's in store. I've given it a 1, only because I can't give it 0.
This place has long been the dark hole of Balham, and I see it now opens early in the morning. Handy that, you can collect a Giro from the Job Center and no longer have that agonizing wait for the pub to open. I walked past at 1pm one day, and there was a bloke unconscious on the pavement outside the door.
Also remember an incident about 8 years ago, where some "patrons" wandered into The Eclipse (now Blithe Spirit), and asked if they could drink there. Why? Because someone had been stabbed in their pub. Enough said...
But if you like that sort of thing, prepare to meet the unwashed, the dole scroungers, and the unpleasant.
