I can still taste salt... - I'd wanted to try this restaurant for some time as I work in the area. After my visit last night I will not be returning. I went with a friend and on entering we were left standing like lemons near the door while the 5 staff at the bar, in turn, looked at us and looked away. We seated ourselves only for the waiter to come along and advise us to move.
I don't even want to waste my time further describing the food. The starters of mussels and squid were tasty but the portions were tiny and vastly overpriced. The mains were dire - again ridiculously priced for what they were, a tiny portion of monkfish fried til overcooked and an unpalatable texture, the peppercorn sauce tasted of salt, salt and more salt. YUK. My friend's whole (but small) fish was similarly incinerated, the crispy carcass hidden beneath a mountain of undercooked onions. Oh and the wine - you guessed it - overpriced for the plonk it was. £60 down the drain.
