YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM! - 10 out of 10 for Yasar Halim Patisserie I love it!There are masses of things to choose from both sweet and savoury. From traditional Baklava to cream cakes large and individual. Plus it's really cheap - I wonder how they make a profit.

More baklava please - The bakery/patisserie side of Yasar Halim is a joy to behold. It's full, very full, of goodies:

Huge glass cases full of every type baklava, baskets full of freshly baked bread (try the fennel seed-topped donut loaf), a couple of cases of Turkish snacks (lahmacuns, and boreks with assorted fillings), and then a load of cream cakes and multicoloured meringues thrown in for good measure.

Going there is an experience in itself - busy and raucous - roll back the years and press your nose to the glass while trying to choose what you want - but you won't be able to loiter indecisively for too long as you get pushed through the queue.

Fun!

And don't forget to pop nextdoor to the grocer's to pick up some other goodies...
