Great Breakfast, Excellent Thai. - Mama (Irene) puts a lot of love into this place. It is small, but her food is delicious. This is a BYOB place, with a shop just a few doors down to buy your own beer etc.

The menu changes frequently, which is why sometimes mama makes up prices as she goes. She also have been known to turn people down at the door who do not look friendly (the place can be empty and she would turn you away if you looked annoying).

Good value for breakfast (£5) - excellent veggie options.

Great fresh Thai food. The kitchen is exposed, so expect to leave smelling of Thai food!

Great Thai BUT smelly clothes! - This place was highly recommended to me and I have to say that it lived up to my expectations.

The name is deceiving as it's a Thai restaurant at night, although, very small.

The menu changes on a weekly basis which for me is a big plus. It doesn't have a huge range of items but certainly enough to cater for all preferences and diets - even large groups, which can order a set menu.

Tai is probably my favourite cuisine and I can comfortably say that the food here is delicious. Best of all - it was really cheap! I think we poaid about £10 each which included a tip.

The only thing that annoyed me was that we all smelled of thai food later on. I could smell it on my clothes for hours. The reason for this is because the kitchen is open plan and there isn't much ventillation. That being said, I'm sure this won't be an issue outside of the winter months.

Great breakfast - Finding a good breakfast can be a bit tricky around Shoreditch - its either bagels or ropey greasy spoon but Lennies is neither.

Its not much to look at inside , about 6 tables and an open kitchen where you can watch your food being cooked (and the waitress being chastised for leaving off someones toast from their order!).

All breakfasts cost a fiver and come with tea or coffee and OJ which isn't bad going. They've got the usual full english with vegetarian options, eggs florentine and a NY breakfast with crispy bacon and a muffin.

Its not over the top gastro but its far superior than the nearby greasy spoons and the atmosphere is great - the lady that runs the place (I don't think she actually is Lennie)has a great memory and she's very friendly so once you've been a couple of times it really feels like home.

Snack bar by day,Thai by night - This place is deceiving as it's called a snack bar which it is during the day serving typical English grub, but at night it's a Thai restaurant. And a very good one. The owner appears to be Thai (see my photo) and just she and another gal handle the show.

The food is typical Thai but done much better and tastes fresher than what I usually have. There were 10 of us so we ordered 5 different dishes x2: Prawn Pad Thai which was full of fresh limes and not tomato "saucy" like you typically get; fresh fish of the day which consisted of cod fillets with mango, mushrooms, spring onions and hot chilli peppers; beef with ginger & sesame and more hot chillies; prawns with vegetables; and green chicken curry which with courgettes and hot chillies. Beware, the food is hotter than normal but it's so tasty. They bring the dishes out as they are ready but the timing was perfect for us all and everyone got enough food.

It's BYOB so the bill per person was only £10! The lady/owner/cook was so sweet and the vibe was relaxing with a about 4 other tables filled in this tiny, eclectic snack bar by day, restaurant by night.

I'll be back. This is a jewel of a find.
