Real devotion - Although I’m already 26, I don’t have a maternity instinct at all. But there’s a balance in the space and God Almighty gave me the other one, called ‘pub instinct’. I simply know how to find a good place. Probably, my notion of a nice venue differs from a modern vision as I simply like the places where time stopped and customers created a structure resembling a family.
The Marquis of Cornwallis is undoubtedly a place where frequent visitors have a special connection with a bar and co-drinkers. The pub is an optimistic version of typical English pub- it’s not overcrowded, it’s bright and alcohol is cheap. What’s more, it’s in a trendy area of Bethnal Green- however, it seems that ‘trendies’ haven’t discovered it so far.
I’ve observed two waves of faithful clients:
-the older generation supported by elegant but shy gentlemen using old-fashioned methods of picking up a girl (making eyes at her)
-the younger representation influenced by nineties- especially, in terms of Take That hairstyle.

The staff is really welcoming and barmaids seem to have a real devotion to their job. They have characteristic make-up and lots of warm feelings towards clients. Music (radio) recalls nice memories from my innocent puberty so I’ll definitely to come back there when around.
