Marvellous Maroush - Whether you have tried Lebanese food or not, Maroush Gardens remains in my opinion the best in London -- and I have tried all the major ones on more than one occasion!
Lebanese food in restaurants is mostly centred around meze (or meza as the Lebanese call it) and there is a huge variety of hot and cold starters to sample, from the popular Hoummos and Babaghannouj (aubergine tahini puree), through falafel, kallaj (grilled halloumi on flat bread), stuffed vine leaves, right through to more acquired-taste-dishes like kibbeh nayeh which is a Lebanese steak tartare of sorts (but nicer ;-)
The highlight of main dishes are their grills -- kafta (mince lamb with parsley and spices on skewers), shish taouk (chicken marinated in tomato and garlic) and much more.
Just as when you arrive you are offered a selection of crudites on the house, when you finish your meal you will be offered a huge selection of fruit (which you might be tempted to ask for a doggie bag for) and baklava on the house.
I'm Lebanese and have lived in London for 22 years and to date think it's the best Lebanese food.
Dinner for two with a bottle of Lebanese wine (great wine by the way) will set you back about £70.
