Not only for 'long fringes' - I'm happy to annouce that I've discovered a pub that is going to be famous pretty soon. I can't be wrong. It's something like love at the first sight- you simply know...And I know that it wasn't my last time in The Cow Shed.
The place is just being reborn by the group of extremely enthusiastic people who want to refresh the profile of space. Their project might be successful as the CS is not far from Notting Hill and has really friendly atmosphere.
The Cow Shed is a typical English pub so obviously, there are still quite a few local 'old-school' pub-goers. Looking at their eyes, my brain figured out that it was the fear of loss they felt... Thankfully, gentelmen stayed peaceful and quiet, taking changes for granted and mixing easily with a 'new wave'.
Present owners of the pub have lots of plans to make it attractive. Every Saturday will offer something different, beginning from live music events, ending with poetry evenings. The place is really nice, small and cosy. The prices are ok but the choice is not very diversified- but let's give them some time.
Although there are not so many 'skinny Brit-art long fringes' there, the pub is still artistic. Everybody has a chance to show off his/her talent (whatever it is), you just need to let Michael (barman) know - the stage (?) will be all for you.
