Mediocre in every way - I went to Iznic a few weeks ago on a Friday evening. I really love Turkish food so I was very much looking forward to it. Unfortunately, the entire experience left me wishing I'd spent the money on ingredients and cooked the food instead.
The restaurant itself is very lovely - though small and slightly over-decorated. The service was friendly enough, if a little clumsy and slow for saying that it was very quiet. So far, so mediocre.
The main courses were reasonably priced but tiny, consisting of a scoop of rice and two short skewers of very tasty meat. The starters of taramasalata and pitta bread were, however, excellent.
Overall, there's little for me to complain about Iznic but also little for me to recommend it. I've eaten better (and paid less) at other restaurants. Of course they could have just been having an 'off' night, but I won't be going back to find out.
