The first Wagamama noodle bar opened in 1992, near the British Museum in Central London, and was immediately a success. With several noodle bars in London and now nationwide, Wagamama offers a fast efficient service in a clean and modern environment.

Busy Noodles - So yeah I know that Wagamama is a chain with a bunch of other locations throughout London (and beyond), but I still feel like this place can warrant a review. Somewhat hidden upstairs, you may feel like you're going the wrong way when you enter what appears to be an office buildings stairwell. Just keep going, on the second floor is the restaurant, which has a pretty well sized dining room, filled with shared tables.
The main points I would make are these: the method of taking orders and serving food is quite interesting, with waiters basically bringing the cash register with them to your table to take orders instead of writing them down and transferring somewhere else. Also: Asahi Black. This has got to be one of my favorite beers, and I don't necessarily care that they mark it up to a somewhat silly price. Finally: the wooden spoons. Who can't have fun with one of those?
When I first came here a few years ago I didn't know that Wagamama was a chain, and I simply thought that it was a pretty cool restaurant with some neat tricks up their sleeve. Even having learned the truth, I don't necessarily feel I need to shun them, although I do wish they'd bring their prices down a bit - ramen isn't expensive as any starving student can tell you.
