L'enfer, c'est les autres. - 'Hell is other people' Jean-Paul Satre's most famous quote - however what most people don't know is that its actually part of a longer sentence that he came up with whilst shopping, the full quote is 'Hell is other people on Oxford Street probably shopping in Topman'

I had to buy a suit for a wedding and being one of those types of people that wears a suit twice a year at most I didn't want to drop top dollar - a bunch of friends advised I check out Topman and assured me that they had come on leaps and bounds in terms of fashion in the past few years.

The clothes are actually pretty decent compared with a few years ago - a lot of the stuff is designed for rake-like 15 year old indie boys but I managed to find a suit and a tie for under £100 which seems like a bargain.

The problem with this place though is the consumer experience - its hectic in there, really hectic, and hot, its a bit like shopping on the rush hour tube and about as relaxing - I reckon if you set up a little Valium store outside you'd make a killing!

Anyway my advice is get in and out as quickly as possible and take some Valium if you have any - you'll need it.
