Spicy and fun banquet - We got turned away from Arang just around the corner, which was booked out (clearly the place to be seen), so we made our way to Myung Ga. Whilst there was space there at 7pm on a Wednesday, it soon filled out, with British diners in the minority to Koreans.
We had a delicious meal with a variety of really quite spicy food. The obligatory Kim Chee (we actually cheated by going for cucumber variant) and Bibimbab were both great, but probably even better were the more interesting items including those cooked at the table in front of us. Barbecued thinly sliced Tenderloin was delicious, and served with a smile by the waitress who was happy to tell us what was going on, and even more insistent upon doling out the food (to those who had dutifully eaten whatever was on their plate!).
Spicy chicken was sweet and syrupy, and a reasonably similar prawn dish was spot-on. We also had thin noodles at the insistence of the waiter, which had generous vegetables and a tangy, clean sauce.
I'd definitely recommend this place, and will go again.
