Giraffe London Reviews

Good for kids - Sometimes you have to go places that you don't want to and its difficult, like Priyanka said, not to just hate by default - anyway I went there as we had a friend in town and were in the area.

Food: The menu is all over the place and I can't say that I really fancied any of it - I opted for a chicken escalope 'kiev' which I think means they poured garlic butter on top - it came with mash and was alright but not the sort of thing I want to eat out.

I also shared some chicken wings that were sticky but quite obviously warmed up in a microwave - not great.

Drink: Ohhh they have Brooklyn Lager which is awesome - the cocktails the girls had seemed to go down ok.

Staff: My friend is in a wheelchair and I have to say that the staff were super helpful and cool so they get props for that.

Overall: The place was full of screeching kids (it was a saturday afternoon / evening) which I don't really like but then I don't have any kids and the sort of places I go probably don't really cater for kids so I guess parents need somewhere to go right?

I probably won't be going back here again BUT I will give them props for being wheelchair accesible and kid friendly .

Un-inspired and unimpressive - I was sightseeing in town with some family for India, one of whom is really picky about the food he eats - he only really likes Indian food which makes dining out a bit tricky or repetitive.

Out of the choice of restaurants on South Bank wagamama's is my preferred option, but he preferred Giraffe as you could get burgers.

Eating there 'under duress' may mean I was predisposed to not liking it, but I thought the food was generic and boring. I had a Malaysian curry which tasted like it came out of a jar. The burgers weren't that great either. I mean, how can you mess up a burger? Wedges were good though.

In trying to represent every corner of the globe (well the famous culinary ones) they manage not to do anything that well.
