at night much better - I think it works as a cafe in the day but at night as a tapas bar. they have another concept in the night with different management,music was so cool, is fabulous, the food is fantastic and amazing mojitos ....I did not know that open at night, has a bar on the bottom too. the service was incredible. I would return at night.

Anglo Colombian - Cafe Mambo defies all expectations. It looks like a cafe (or should that be a builder's "caff"), and the first half of the menu reads as such. Bacon rolls, eggs, English breakfast, hamburgers, sausages... it could be anywhere, however, keep reading.

The second half of the menu revels the true heart of the place, and the owners. Cafe Mambo is essentially a Colombian restaurant, albeit closed in the evening. The Arepas (corn meal pancakes perfectly fried) served with cheese, chorizo, or chicharrón (fried pork belly) are a great little snack, or try the pan de bono, a baked cheese bread not dissimilar to the Brazilian Pão de queijo.

For a larger meal the cafe does a great £6 lunch deal which includes soup and a main, typically grilled steak, pork or chicken served with rice, beans and salad. Also fantastic are their juices, and I'd particularly recommend the guanabana en leche, soursop blended with milk.

Cafe Mambo is a real treat and gives the Latin American students who learn English at the nearby London Study Centre a little taste of home and anyone wanting to try something new and cheap and great place to discover.
