The Carpenters Arms is a traditional English pub serving bar food for lunch. There is a large screen showing all the main sporting events on Sky TV. They can also cater for private parties for up to 100 people. Seating on the pavement area is provided, weather permitting.

Fear and boozing in Fitzrovia - This is the closest pub to my work, so I spend quite a lot of time here. Apparently before my time it used to be a bit spit and sawdust in here, but it's been refurbed - I think our head of production had a say in what beers are on tap.

When you walk in from the corner it always smells like bleach on muck, but that's the only thing I don't like about this pub. It has a smoking terrace upstairs which is lovely in the summer.

You can also get a good burger in here, or fish finger sandwiches - at busy times expect a l-o-n-g wait. 10-12-08
