Probably the best haircut I've had - In direct contrast to some of the reviews on here for Chop, I actually had the best haircut of my life there the other week, and intend to go back time and again.
I was given a lot of choice on how I wanted my hair, despite only asking for a number 2 razor shave all over. I didn't even realise the number of options for styling at the back.
The barber was very thorough, and used a proper razor blade, not a throwaway plastic thing to tidy the edges.
I thought the addition of talc was a nice touch to dry the scalp after the shave.
£12 was a very fair price to pay, even though I had read somewhere online that it would cost £10.
With its perfect location opposite Clapham Common tube station, and great selection of magazines to read whilst waiting, I would definitely recommend Chop.

Worst haircut I've ever had! - Don't do it!
I've just had my haircut here and it was rushed, aggressive and sloppy. I could tell he just wanted me out of the seat quickly so he could get another one in after me.
When I was trying to explain initially what I wanted, the guy cutting my hair didn't listen. When I finally managed to get him to pay attention to what I was saying, he just disagreed with me telling me how he wanted to do it.
He style of cutting was incredibly amateur, like he hadn't even had any training. With every couple of snips there was about 4 unnecessarily rough strokes across my scalp with his sharp comb. I wondered if he was trying to just loosen my hair so it fell out, rather then cutting it.
He rocked my seat back but kept pushing my head forward, straining my neck, because he was too lazy to adjust it.
Then came the blowdrying when I could literally feel my head burning and when he was dusting my ravaged skin with talcum powder he also used his greasy hands to wipe hairs off my nose and under my eyes. I couldn't believe it.
When it was all over and the frustration boiling up inside me had reached it's peak, I asked to speak to the manager but, horror of horrors, he WAS the manager!
I told him it was the worst haircut I'd ever had in my life and as I was about to elaborate he cut me off and just said 'you don't have to pay'. What kind of a manager doesn't bother to find out what the problem is? He obviously already knew how bad he was. His reaction was so fast that it makes me wonder how many people have had a bad experience with him.
Needless to say I didn't pay and I will never go back there.
I'm sat at home now, my scalp feeling like it's bleeding, wondering what I can do to calm it down.
