Lame - I don't know what the deal is with Tantra. It's definitely for rich people only. £10 entry, and if I remember rightly a bottle of beer was £7. Yeah, one of those "what!?!!??" type prices. The inside is weird, it makes you feel like you shouldn't touch anything because your fingerprint isn't rich enough to be there.
When I went, it was completely dead, with only the obligatory drunk girls staggering around the unusually small dancefloor. What is it with London clubs? In 90% of them you are guaranteed to see the staggering dancefloor drunk girls and the guy who sits in the toilet all night, selling me lollypops and spraying things on me (a questionable profession in my book).
I had heard this was a bit of an..umm...kinky... place. Though it was never confirmed, this suspicion gained some weight when we looked at the VIP area. Trust me, doing this was probably the equivalent of being under the height line in a theme park, watching the kids have fun while you can only watch. In there, some of those really really hot girls are just sat around, doing nothing much. On BEDS. I could see no chairs in the VIP area, just beds. There are also mirrors on the ceiling.
Bad atmosphere, average music, and rude staff. Unless you have some method of getting past 18 stone bouncers into VIP areas, never go here.
