It's a DATE? - An AWESOME place, where I could have eaten EVERYDAY (but i would have been pretty smelly.) Everything on the menu at this place had garlic in it... I mean even down to the desserts! It was run by Swedish people, and very gimmicky! Jody and I started with 'Blood Shots' which were shots of vodka, tomato juice, garlic and chili spices! OMG to die for and delicious! I'm a pretty good drinker and spicy food eater but could only handle 3 of those babies before the chili, garlic and vodka in them started burning my throat and tummy! So next I tried the Garlic beer... it was really tasty actually! But kind of a weird experience to have to chew after each sip of beer, the garlic chunks were in abundance and quite big!!
So, much to my despise, my friend recommended I try these 'dates' (as in the fruit thing, I'm really not a fan of them and wouldn't usually eat them, but what the heck, I'll try anything at least twice!)
These dates come on skewers, they are stuffed with garlic (surprise!), then wrapped in bacon and fried... sounds disgusting? *yeah that's what I thought*
But when I tried them... WOW! I could easily put it up there as one of the BEST things I have ever tasted in my life! They were amazingly YUMMMMMMY!
Then we finished up with a garlic vodka shot... not nice, made me feel a little queasy and just tasted like straight Vodka with Garlic (should have figured that one from the name).

Beware the Blood Shots! - My review is not much of a review, given that I've not eaten here, however it's a curious little place, so I thought it deserves a few words.
The front of the venue serves as a restaurant, serving up exciting sounding food like 'wasabi garlic asparagus' and 'garlic fry-up gambas pill pill'. I'd like to eat here. A lot. And I'll be trying the gambas pill pill, what ever on earth it may be.
Anyway, I digress. As the name indicates, they quite like garlic here. And they quite like shots. And they really like shots with garlic in them. This probably isn't a place to come on a first date...
I popped in for a beer. And a blood shot. It's got garlic in it, unsurprisingly, but also a fair amount of chilli, which was fun and warming on a cold winter's evening.
In fact, their shot menu is extensive. They have 101! Not all of them contain garlic, but a lot of them do.
The decor is rock-esq. Downstairs is a bit dingy and painted black. I was already a bit tipsy by the time I made it here but I seem to remember neon.
There are a few tables and patio heaters out the back, although they tend to get busy and/or booked up.
All in all this was a cool little place and one I intend to return to, to sample some more shots (with less garlic perhaps...) and their interesting food menu.
