Established in 1973, La Toscana is two minutes walk from Eldon Garden shopping centre and in the shadow of St James' Park. The restaurant upstairs has a reputation for good Italian food and a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. The menu is predominantly Italian with some Mediterranean influences. On the ground floor is Cafe Toscana, which has a more cafe oriented menu.
