Despite not having a front entrance (just a stairwell), Annabel's Club is an exclusive members club which only the truly wealthy can afford to frequent. A strict dress code applies and members can be served all night long with copious amounts of drink and gastronomic delights.

Before there was Shoreditch House.. - There was Annabel's.

I'm told this was once the playground of the peerage in the early 90's. Right about now it seems more like the buriel ground of the elderly.

Every time I've been to Annabels, most of the clientele consist of geriatrics, Saudi businessmen who seem to think having meetings in a club at 11:00 pm is cost effective, and young people who are so ugly they can only be the product of a hundred years upperclass inbreeding.

I don't mean to sound so damn mean- Annabels can be super fun, provided you can play the English Aristocracy Name Dropping Game.

First off give yourself a ridiculous nickname like Bunty or Loopy; it has to end in an 'ee' sound. When being introduced ask the person to call you this nickname- this is the code to let them know you're down with it. They will start talking about people they went to school with who are also their second cousin and their sister's monkey's uncle's brother in law. Just pretend you know everyone, and then ask them if they've kept up to date with Jilty, Monpy, Googy, Chickie or Freddie. This is a formal challenge to a Name Game fight. Keep it up for as long as you dare; should they walk away and say something along the lines of "You must give my love to Snuggy"... you have won the Name Game!
