Gourmet Delicacies & Organic Goods - Kennards is a gourmet deli and market on Lambs Conduit street that is chock full of most any sweet, savoury, rich, creamy or smokey foodstuff you can imagine. If it's organic, grass fed, free range or hand-picked (as well as just about every other sustainable buzzword you can imagine), then you can find it here.
They have a pretty good selection, considering the petite size of the shop, from all manner of cheeses to organic produce and fresh bread to caviar. Also pate's and prosciutto's and small batch honey and jams. I also noticed a delectable looking custard-filled donut. I managed to restrain myself, as it was late afternoon at the time, but I might find myself detouring past Kennards some morning soon.
They also have a small dining room where you can take your sandwiches and plates that they feature.
If you are looking for some special olive oil or some Belgian hot chocolate or wine (organic, naturally), then this is the place to go. Although by now you've probably gathered that prices aren't low here, you do get what you pay for, so when you are putting together a picnic or want something special, give it a go. 25-01-08
