Paid £31 for a haircut today, it was supposed to be styled and I even gave picture, it was nothing like I asked and the young girl just said put wax in it. Sorry certainly wouldn't recommend. Will have to go elsewhere and have it cut again !!!

relaxing experience . - Regular customer,relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff always pleasant and attentive,offered good choice of refreshments hot and cold.My stylist always makes sure I am happy with end result.Friendly and professional advice is always offered.Massage is an option to make it a lovely experience.Highly recommended.The only way to find out is to visit yourself.Julie (York)

My regular hair salon! - Really can't understand what the other people have written about this place. I have been a regular since I moved to York 4 years ago - I go every 1-2 months. The hairdresser I have is called Charlie, she's a senior stylist & is the only hairdresser I've ever had who's actually cut my hair the way I wanted it. I normally don't get the massage just to save time but the few times I have had it it has been very relaxing & you can tell all the girls are well trained. The only thing I would say is I can't always get an appointment right when I want it but that's surely because it's a popular salon & it must be popular for a reason! Don't let the other reviews put you off, I have now moved 45 mins away from York but still travel back just to go to this hairdresser!

will pay more than you expect to! - I went for a cut and finish and was told this would be £37. When having my hair washed I was advised to have a hair mask, which I thought was just like being asked if you want conditioner. They failed to mention that this would take my bill up to £52. The haircut was fine, but the so-called head massage (which was a soft tickle at the back of my neck!) didn't make up for the cost. They then tried to sell me very expensive shampoo and conditioner, telling me that it was the only thing that would be good for my hair! If that's the case I can't afford to keep my hair!!

Avoid this at all costs! - This has to be the worst place I have ever been to in York. the girl who did my hair didn't have a clue, was rude and deliberately squirted water in my eyes when washing my hair. The apprentice was equally rude and made the whole experience a nightmare. I had heard previous bad reports and should have listened but I will never visit it again and would suggest other people avoid it like the plague!
