Aldwych Theatre
London
Reviews
A Slice of Theatrical History... - The Aldwych is a beautifully preserved old London theatre. It's not actually very big, so all seats are good seats - and very comfortable they are too. The stage itself if well sized, and the ceilings are ornate. Sweeping staircases and huge chandeliers add to the glamour, and the bar serves a good selection of drinks including champagne bottles of various sizes – perfect for a pre-show treat daahling...
I went here (unwillingly I may add) to see Dirty Dancing which was... interesting *cough*. As I had predicted it was full of screaming women (and a few men) who ended up in a big sing-a-long at the end, as well as numerous hen parties dressed up in Kellerman t-shirts. However the venue was truly gorgeous - and this is what I have awarded the points for, so I’ll hope to be back to see something else here again in the future.
