GREAT food from unremarkable venue - From the outside, The Mermaid Takeaway at the very far end of Chesterton High Street looks quite unremarkable. And the price list is right at the low end. But the food! No wonder people battle the traffic right across Cambridge to get here. The head chef has a remarkable CV, and you can tell immediately that the ingredients are all fresh and there are no catering sauces involved. We've been regulars here for a while now, and love the place. www.mermaidtakeaway.co.uk
