The K2 has jazz on every Wednesday, featuring Tim Amann and Edgar Macias on alternate weeks. We welcome any musicians or singers who'd like to sit in with the band for a tune.

K2 has been putting music on for the last twenty years or so, and so has outlived Ronnie Scotts (now a strip club), the Fiddle and Bone (now a disused building), the Strathallen (rumoured to have some traddiness occasionally), the Cannonball (still a nice pub, but no jazz), and the many more venues that have closed due to Birmingham's love for EastEnders and the X Factor.

Disappointing - I'd read some good reviews about K2 and was looking forward to a really good meal. However the service was the slowest I've ever had and was generally rubbish, we waited an hour and a half for food. We were served poppadoms but without the usual dips to go with them. The food when it did finally arrive was actually not bad but the prices were horrendous! My friend paid £6 for a not impressive prawn cocktail starter for example. This place was topped off with some quite grubby toilets, altogether disappointing. 21-12-09
