Yeah but no but… - It was the very first in my life when I could experience a real Little Britain in London.
I didn’t meet Matt Lucas though- I just visited The Parish pub in Wembley Park.
And it was something!
The Parish is localised not far away from the tube station. It doesn’t look extraordinary- I would even say that you wouldn’t get inside if you weren’t forced to do that. Anyway, risk pays off.
To enjoy the pub’s atmosphere totally remember to follow a few steps:
- don’t be discouraged by frequent visitors who look like soldiers fighting for their teritory,
ignore them
- forgive a barmaid (a Big Mama) to be rude
- be careful of people playing darts (you may lose your eye).
At the same time just appreciate:
- the prices of beer
- the possibility of having your own food inside
- intimate atmosphere
- and the fact that you’ve found a sitting place in a pub on Friday night.
