Opened in 1894, Peckham Rye Park and Common is managed by Southwark Council and comprises 96.3 acres of open recreational grassland, ornamental and water gardens, a lake and woodland. There is also a children's play site and an older children's adventure playground, which is about to undergo renovations. The area has much historical and wildlife conservation interest. It is located one mile south of Peckham Rye rail station.

Secret South London - Beautifully restored park in South East London. Inside the actual park (not the common), you will find rose gardens, a wooded area, a small lake, a playground for children, a field area - great for jogging or playing football and an immaculate bowling lawn. A new cafe has sprung up just by the entrance to the park serving a good selection of healthy sandwiches, lovely cakes and great coffees.
