Sean Collins co-founded Thames Clippers in 1999 with partner Alan Woods. During his career Sean recognised the opportunity to build a consistent high-speed commuter and passenger river service.

Due to Sean's management, insight and dedication Thames Clippers has grown from a one boat operation to a fleet of twelve vessels, carrying over 7000 passengers per day. In 2006 AEG Europe bought a majority stake in Thames Clippers and helped to expand the service.

Thames Clippers London Reviews

Fab day out - I went yesterday with some friends(2 adults & 4 kids). A Rover ticket which lets you hop on and off was fantastic value. £32 for the 6 of us for the whole day. We got off saw the sights got back on and went to the next stop etc. Kids thought it was great as did the adults.
A great way to see london, will be taking all my out of town visitors on it in the future.

Better than the Tube - I love to travel on The Clippers - its fun, its less crowded, you see the sights, and ....THERES A BAR (price is ok for London too :D).

I like to take my family and friends who visit us on here if we are going to central London. Why come to London just to get crammed in a tin and thrown down a hole where you get to see only walls - when you can have a boat ride instead?

I'm going to stop reviewing now because I don't want lots of people going on and ruining it.

Oh, and I totally agree - get your head stuck out the side like a dog in a car! why not bark as well - then I know you’ve read my review :P lol

Oyster Clipper - In deed, great trip, took my mum for a boat-ride this year and we both clapped our hands out of joy like kids.

What's best, it is part of London transport network, so you will get really good deals if you have zone 1-2 travel cards, as far as I remember it was around £2 for the whole tour from the London Eye to O2 arena.

Not just for tourists - Thames Clippers are these catamaran boats that roll up and down the river, as you'd expect boats to do really.

They essentially do a loop from Milbank (Tate Britain) all the way to the Millenium Dome. It probably costs about £7 for a day pass but you can roll a few stops for just a couple of quid.

The best part to travel in my opinion is east of Tower Bridge as

a) its less busy so the boats go way faster

b) all the wharf buildings look awesome and you get amazing views of Canary Wharf.

My tip is get a solid place out back of the boat on the side and hold on tight - once the boat gets going stick your face out of the boat like dogs do in cars - its awesome.
