Awesome - I don't get back to Norwich very often, maybe every couple of months as my parents live here. Visiting parents is always a mixed blessing, on the one hand their fridge is always full and they don't make you pay for dinner but then dessert is usually a lecture about paying your taxes on time or not smoking / drinking so much and wasting your life away (at least thats what I always get).
Anyway the nice thing my parents do is stock up on beer because they know I like it - the unfortunate thing is that I only drink with them every couple of months so they always choose some cheap old french beer thats 2% and whilst I don't drink to get drunk I like something a little potent.
That was until I discovered Le Chateau - I use the word discovered in the lightest of senses as it situated on Unthank Rd and not hidden at all. Its really small but they have an awesome selection of beers - the past couple of times I've been I've mainly been drinking pale ales and they've got Tipples (local), St Peters (suffolk), Wychwood (Oxfordshire), Batemans (Lincolnshire) and I always always manage to sneak an Aspall cider (Suffolk) into my basket.
Suffice to say not only do I drink much better when I visit home nowadays but I'm also much more inclined to visit!
