SUCKS! - I don't normally frequent places like All Bar One, its not that I'm a snob but I like my drinking establishments to have some discernable character. Once you're inside you could be in Chelmsford, Norwich, Manchester anywhere, its a bit like service stations, they exist on a different cultural plane, or rather they refuse to acknowledge their locality.

Anyway I was late to meet a mate and so ensconsed himself in the ABO (ohhh the acronym is almost ASBO, how fitting!) - when I arrived he was half way down his pint so I thought I'd have a quick wine - I asked for a small glass of house white and was greeted by the response 'sorry we only serve large glasses' - I was shocked, no I was angry, annoyed, no in fact I was thoroughy annoyed - look I don't mind paying £3.50 for a small wine and so normaly I'd be super happy to pay that for a large glass but I didn't want a large glass, I wanted a small.

It really made me mad, with all this talk of binge drinking etc you would have thought places like this would accept some sort of responsibility or at least give it some thought, I mean they're practically pouring it down people's throats - not that I ever went to All Bar One's much but I'm never ever ever going to one again - on principle.

Oh and the decor sucks, the clientele were lame and it took me ages to get served.
