Great Coffee - It's great to have something like the Deptford Project in our area, it's the only train that seems to be on time, with real fair trade coffee and lovely homemade food. 21-09-09

amazing new cafe in deptford market - In the midst of the clutter and bustle of deptford market (check the side bit by the albany theatre for some real trash n treasure, house clearance style!), a new cafe has opened in an old train carriage. It seems its run by an arts collective who hope to put events on in the old rail yard behind the cafe, but who have invested a lot of time and love in this place-the decking and revamped train carriage make it a lovely setting feet away from the bustle of the market, and on the day I went the food was delicious, I had a killer vegetarian chickpea lasagne, the quiche scored 8 out of 10 with my dining companion and the other entries on the menu certainly looked great, and I imagined they tasted good too. I'm guessing it's a vegetarian cafe as Ithere was no meat on the menu that day. Coffee was killer. Really great atmosphere and it seemed like all of the local creatives were homing in on it so it had a nice buzz to it. Recommended. 08-08-08
