The Wild Woods of Camberwell - Located at the Camberwell end of the endless stretch of Camberwell New road, the outside gives nothing away. However, step inside to find a lovely old boozer that has been polished up, yet still retaining a quirky rough-round-the-edges feel to it.
Food is well executed seasonal English – a starter of home cured salmon was sweet and succulent and came with fluffy house baked brioche style bread. Mains included a moreish wild mushroom tart, a plate of tender venison and some perfectly pink lamb. A selection of sides including leaf salad, chips and seasonal greens were generous and well presented. A good selection of beers and wines round things up nicely, and for any dog owners out there, you’ll be pleased to know that well behaved four legged friends are welcomed, fussed over and tended to with bowls of water.
