A Real Craftsman - In common with other people writing reviews here, I had virtually given up on getting a decent passport photo done, until I discovered (after a Google search) the ID Photoshop on the Strand. Sam, the guy who shot my photo, was wonderful in every respect: first off, he is exceedingly friendly and polite (and it's not fake, it's the real thing); second, he has the right equipment, and he knows how to use it; third, he knows exactly how to coax the most flattering, but entirely within the rules in terms of expression, picture from his sitters; and finally, the price is incredibly reasonable for the time he takes and the quality of the resulting prints. If you care about how you look in your travel documents, and call me vain, but I DO, don't waste your time or money anywhere else, go straight to the ID photoshop. You will encounter a real craftsman who respects his customers and clearly takes pride in his work. Thanks, Sam!

Excellent quality at great prices!! - I cannot recommend the ID Photoshop strongly enough. After trying half a dozen places with most disappointing results, and having wasted some £25 in the process, I was so glad to find out about ID Photoshop on the web. Both the service and the quality of the photos were excellent and the price extremely competitive. For the cost of 4 photos at a photo booth I had 8 professionally taken and edited photos, far superior in quality than any of the photos I had wasted my money on previously.

Best visa/passport photos in London - My wife and I have used Sam and his professional skills numerous times. Fast, efficient and the best prices in London. Now that passport/visa photo requirements are becoming strict, Sam at ID ensures 100% what you get is what the authorities need. Turnaround in minutes, we cannot recommend this place enough. Thanks! Patient, gifted and knowledgeable! - Sam does a great job taking photos -in my case for an online application.
Was generously patient and happy to take as my photos as need be.
Best of all was to get it downloaded and sorted in less than 24hrs.
Definitely worth it even though you do have to wing your way down the station to get there:)

Excellent Service and Work - I have used The ID Photoshop two times for two different passport/visa applications. Both times the photos were well done and accepted by the respective governments (US and UK).
The price is good. The standards are high.
And the photographer has a great memory, recalling me even though it was 8 months between visits.
Highly recommended.

Great pics, service and affordable - I had an emergency when I realized my passport was out of date and I had 4 days until my holiday in the sun. I took a day off of work to sort this out and went to another so called passport photo shop that rushed the whole thing and got me out the door, I didnt realize that passport photos had to be so precise until my application was rejected because of it leaving me with 1 day to sort it out. Luckly I work quite close to charing cross station and was informed about the ID shop, I told the guy that worked there about my ordeal and he made a nice point to go through the variables that the passport office look for and was really helpful throughout. Later I got my new passport without any problems, saving my holiday!

For all your passport photo needs! - In this day and age of crazy biometric passport photo requirements it's good to know you're in safe hands. These guys will take and print the right photos for your passport/visa/driving license/whatever else and guarantee that it meets the criteria.

It's tucked away in the (pretty grim) Underground part of Charing Cross station. The easiest way to find it is through the Underground entrance on the north side of The Strand to the right of Starbucks, it's just down the steps.

The service is digital so if you're looking like a goon in your first photo you can try again until you're happy. It takes about 5 minutes and doesn't cost much more than a regular photo booth. The guy who looked after me was really friendly and clear about everything. Nice!
