Lidl's dark secrets - I visited Lidl supermarket today. You know what's funny? I haven't been there before although I'm Eastern European. Probably, the reason was that I don't like their logo
and I used to have a friend called Lidl who regularly annoyed me. Anyway, yeah- London has Tesco, Waitrose and lots of different supermarkets but there's something special about Lidl.
Something strange. Shopping there is like a mental thriller. You have an impression that you are being spied.
The first unique thing is silence. Lidl's silence hurts. No music, no voices. Even babies there don't cry...Everybody seems to be depressed, walking around aimlessly.
The other thing- there are no baskets there! You just need to be creative and locate your products somehow (good fun by the way). Of course, you can have your own bag- but there's a risk of being suspected of crime. Maybe this adrenaline is part of marketing campaign?
All products are multicultural. Chickens come from different EU countries (and not only) and you have a feeling that they take part in reincarnation process, there are Polish eggs and South African lamb chops.
Nevertheless, in my opinion Lidl is the most eco-friendly supermarket in the whole world as you need to pay for your bag! 10 points for that.
If you want to feel like in a criminal movie, don't go to cinema, visit Lidl. It's cheaper:)
