Lovely cinema - I often come to the Greenwich Picturehouse on a Monday night, when tickets are half-price. Perhaps this is why I've always encountered some unsavoury characters (a man sitting next to me cracked open a can of Special Brew, ate a bag of Quavers, belched, fell asleep, snored etc).

Nevertheless, the seats are large and comfortable. They recline nicely and there's a decent amount of leg room. I also like that you can take your pints in with you. The bar area is pleasant and doesn't feel like the local Odean, but rather a more up-market place. 28-11-08

Drinks, Tapas, and a Movie - This is my type of cinema: big cushy leather seats, independent films, an in-house bar where you can grab a pint for the movie, and even a tapas bar for food before or after the film. This clever idea of attracting customers in multiple ways seems to be the vision of the future for independent movie houses, one of the few ways they can possibly compete with the giant multi-screen places. In some areas the vision only seems partially realized, with some experiments being more successful than others, but I like it nonetheless. Any cinema that offers the combination of beer and big leather chairs has my vote. 10-02-08
