Cafe Rouge is a chain of Brasserie-style restaurants serving a range of light meals and drinks within a French atmosphere. There is a large choice of dishes as well as hot and cold drinks which makes this restaurant a good stop off point for tea and snacks rather than grand dinners. Cafe Rouge London Reviews

Chips Ahoy! - Great atmosphere in here, but all a little too European for my liking. The food is good, but nothing to shout about, and everything is done speedily. And, even more so when it's busy!

If you've ever been to France, these restaurants are exactly what you would find - in abundance. A nice variety of food, but the waiters don't ever seem to smile (I'll refrain from making any jokes about the French).

Very nicely decorated in a traditional European village style, with bright walls and some great artwork. It does put you in a good mood.

There's something magical about the chips here, though. Do order some. They're nicely oiled, salted, cut very fine and mixed with some herbs to make the flavours linger in your mouth.

Finally, the peppercorn sauce is to die for. Get it on your steak.
