Took our money but did not deliver - DO NOT USE.
DO NOT PAY MONEY UP FRONT.
We took Steve Clark on to do a fencing job and replace a large garden shed. He was trading as Orchard Fence / Orchard Fencing or his company name of Orchard House Windows Ltd.
He took thousands of pounds of our money, costs escalated and he failed to finish the job - we were put to a lot of inconvenience and expense and were faced with a time-consuming battle to get our money back.
He seems to have done this to a lot of people.
Info from Trading Standards (Milton Keynes):
"Companies House website shows that Stephen Michael Clark was disqualified from being a director of a business in July 2015 and that this ban is in place for 4 years. The Companies House website identifies the reason as CDDA 1986 S5 which means he has been disqualified on conviction of summary offences. http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk//dis_pers_apps?row=18
It is Mr Clark that is affected by the barring, rather than the company itself but as Mr Clark was the managing director of the business, and one of only two employees, it seems likely that these two events may be linked but we cannot confirm that for sure at present."

Orchard House Windows - DO NOT go anywhere near Orchard House Windows or Orchard Fencing. Both are run by the most useless person I have ever had the misfortune to come across. He is STEVE CLARK, Clarky the Sharky, the company should be renamed Fraudchard House Windows.
What a complete & utter waste of time and space. I have been waiting since early November 2014 for my installation to START, kept getting fobbed off with excuses, now he doesn't answer my calls, reply to my texts or answer any emails.
Those of you that have cancelled any orders with this bunch of cowboys should tell him where he can poke any Admin charges he might try to impose, then demand an 8% p.a interest charge on your deposit. You are legally entitled to do this. Why let them have the interest on your money, I won't.
Be warned - STAY AWAY or suffer the consequences.

Orchard windows Milton Keynes - Under no circumstances should you take up any work with Orchard Windows. Steve Clark is quite possibly the worst business man known to exist. Like others have written. He's very nice, plausible and comes across as genuine. However, when he has your money, it's excuse after excuse as to why he can't start this day or that. We've been waiting 4 months so far for him to finish our doors and windows. Thankfully we are not out of pocket as what he has installed pretty much covered the 50% deposit we gave him.
You will be tempted by his charm and inoffensive manner. You'll love his prices. You'll be taken in by his patter. But don't. Just don't do it. You will absolutely regret it.

Re Steve Clark - So sorry to read the plight of others suffering too. Just like the others found, Steve Clark is totally plausible and there is no warning that he is not genuine. He came and discussed as much as necessary and the spent a long time with his two ‘fitters’ measuring and checking details.

Beware con man in action - Having been in the property business for 20 years i never thought i can be taken for a ride by a con man like Steve Clark. The guy is a master liar, we signed with him a contract for £50.00.00 paid a deposit of £7.500.00 and agreed fitting schedule only to be feed with utter nonsense excuses, there month down the road we are issuing legal charges.
Steve you are welcome to sue me

Summit is now Orchard House Windows - Summit windows has now folded with a large number of County Court Judgements against it. It's director Stephen Clark has started a new company called Orchard House Windows at the same address and Mr Clark is still up to his old tricks.

Bordering on fraud - Like a growing number of reviewers, on several web sites, we have had a deposit taken from us and no sight of the replacement windows he was contracted to install. He doesn't answer calls, emails etc. We are now faced with a legal battle to get ou money back and have been advised that his activities are showing signs of fraud. On his web site he claims to be a part of the "Plastics Window Federation" who stopped his affiliation a year ago because of the many County Court Judgements against him. He has lied to me on a number of occasions with regard to the progress of his work. Don't go anywhere near this man : Steve Clark or any of his companies - Summit Windows, Cofton Windows or Orchard Windows and Conservatories.

All talk no action - Completely let down by this company. Avoid at all costs. All talk until the deposit is paid. After that Steve and his team disappeared and would not return telephone calls. Did a credit search on the company and discovered that they have a number of CCJ judgements against them - one can only assume from people like me attempting to get their deposits back. We chose to cancel our contract (legally) after paying a 30% deposit and are now pursuing legal action to recover our deposit.
Dont get caught.
