Afternoon tea under 20 quid anyone? - For starters, the great court at the British Museum is an amazing space with the glass roof winding around the old build.

The restaurant definately gets my vote on atmosphere...

..BUT we did have the best table. If you have a group of six or more ask to be seated around the back at the table away from the rest of the diners.

Afternoon tea in london can be expensive, up to 50 quid. The court however has different ones to choose from ranging from 6 pounds to 25...and even one that is served with coffee and not tea.

If your not starving its enough to share a traditional stand with little sandwiches, cakes and scones for about 10 pounds each.

But i was utterly disappointed when the teapots came out with teabags in them. C'mon British museum! this is England! shame on you for saving those few pennies and serving tradional afternoon tea- minus the real leaves...shame on you.

Well you get what you pay for and this is definately a good afternoon tea under 20 pounds...especially that you get to sit in that spectacular room... 29-06-08
