The Regent's Park Open Air Theatre was founded in 1932 by Robert Atkins and Sydney Caroll. There are over 1187 seats making it one of the largest theatres in London. The auditorium that stands there today was built in 1975 providing an amphitheatre with raised seating and disabled facilities. There is a fully licensed bar, and they also have picnic bags for those who wish. They have matinees as well as evening showings.

Regent's Park Open Air Theatre London Reviews

Memorable - I still have treasured memories of going to Regent's Park Open theatre when I was a teenager to see Midsummer's Night Dream and Much Ado About Nothing- Oh dear that must nearly thirty years ago! I can still remember the wonder of the evening performances. So summer 07 I decided to take my children to see 'Fantastic Mr. Fox' here. It was a day time performance so the theatre was not as impressive as in the evenings, but all the same a great performance.

There is so much that can be done in this theatre and it never fails to amaze me how they use it for the difference performances, and how good the acoustics are.

Going here provides a memory worth having!
