Best chippy around! - This is definitely the best fish bar I have ever been too! The chips are always cooked to perfection and the portions are very generous. The fish tastes fresh, as do all of the choices on the varied menu that I have tried. The staff are very friendly and polite, and the food is excellent value for money given the quality. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Bishopston and Horfield are very fortunate to have a chippy like this, especially considering the horrendous take aways close by, which is reflected in the fish bar's busy trade. 23-05-10

no good - after trying hot wok xpress i discovered a fish and chip shop nxt door called bishopston fish bar, the fact its not even in bishopston suggest that its not what its says on the can already.The shop is very clean however..
i was served by a man who did nt smile and he stank of ciggerette smoke. not only that they were all oggling at my girlfiend in which i did nt like at all. the chips tasted nasty like they had been refried from yesterday and the fish was ok nothing to go back for. and the price was very expensive for a small piece of fish and chips served my a unhappy smelly man... i would suggest going to the bristol fryer up the road where u get much better value for your money. 25-02-10
