Unsatisfactory - Day and Night clearly pays attention to the conventions of designing a 'cool' bar - exposed brick and all, but there isn't all that much delivered behind the carefully cultivated veneer. An awkward layout and uninspiring delivery of standard pub grub (sandwiches and burgers, mostly) don't help.
The fact that it is advertised as an 'internet bar' here comes as a surprise to me, as I was unable to connect to any open WiFi network, and anyways the place was crammed with suits and tourists who did not appear to have any interest in checking their email (or visiting Tipped, for that matter).
Standard beer selection, but at least it wasn't too expensive. The best thing about this place is probably the outdoor seating that allows you to watch the crowds go by beside Russell Square, but with the weather taking at turn for the cold, that choice is now less tenable.
