Tasty Tasty - Champor Champor favors the bold. Their menu is extremely inventive and they make good use of both the familiar and the exotic in unexpected ways. The whole experience is unusual, starting with finding the front door (not as easy as one might think), continuing with the over the top bizarre pan-Asian decor, and the wild artistic presentations of the food. Sometimes style surpasses substance, but more often than not the food is as delicious as it is intriguing.
You can choose between a two or three course meal at dinner with an optional palate cleansing course. This led to one of my funniest dining moments in recent memory. After the first course, our waiter came up to me and said, "Would you like intercourse now?" Needless to say, I was a bit confused. He was, of course, referring to the palate cleansing course, but it took me several seconds too long to realize that. Plus he wasn't exactly my type.
For the money, this is not the best value, and you are likely to leave just barely full. If you are looking for a traditional Malaysian restaurant with roti and beef rendang, this will not fit that bill. Still, I recommend trying Champor Champor for the unique dining experience and experimental cuisine.
