Kit out your house on the cheap - Emmaus (www.emmaus.org.uk/) are a charity helping the homeless. They have a superstore in West Norwood right next to the train station.
Selling everything from furniture, to electricals, to music and brick a brack, it's a nice clean shop with a wide selection of goods.
For landlords and those on a budget, it's a treasure trove of cheap furniture, much of which is in great condition and exceptional value for money.
Emmaus will arrange free pick-up of your bulky furniture items, so you have absolutely no reason *not* to give them your cast-offs and help charity in the process.
