Ebb is okay, nothing great. - I checked it out today. The location is really good - right by the docks. But other than that the coffee house looks like it was decorated by a bored designer fishing through things in her basement. The couches are comfortable, but they are ugly and cheaply upholstered. I had a tea, no complaints there. Prices seem reasonable. My large tea was £1.60. Cash only.

Still on the hunt for my perfect cozy coffee shop.... 24-05-08

Antidote to the Starbucksian Plague - It took me far too long to notice Ebb, a cute little coffee house in the middle of St. Katherine's dock, just near the Starbucks that I lovingly call "The Pimple of Doom". Ebb seems to be somewhat popular with the locals, which is good because the Starbucks packs in people from the adjacent hotel.

Another plus is that Ebb has comfy chairs and sofas to hang out in and a nice mellow atmosphere. The coffee is decent, not amazing, but better than Starbucks by a league. When I'm in need of a quiet place to go do some work or just laze about and read on the weekends, Ebb is a good spot near the Tower. 22-05-08
